SEBASTIEN & CAROLE-ANNE’S WINTER ENGAGEMENT SESSION ~ EMBRUN, RUSSELL & OTTAWA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

It seems that many of my 2019 couples are seeking a seasonal contrast between their engagement and wedding photos. Caro & Seb are one of those couples…they are getting married next summer but wanted a snowy background for their engagement session. They chose a pretty, forested trail near their Limoges, Ontario home.

After several rescheduled dates due to uncomfortably cold temps, we were finally able to meet earlier this month. While it wasn’t cosy warm outside, they took advantage of the frosty afternoon to heat things up with hot cocoa, blankets and a lot of snuggles. And those really are the best kind of sessions ๐Ÿ˜‰

LAURA MATERNITY SESSION AT MER BLEU BOARDWALK ~ EMBRUN, RUSSELL & OTTAWA MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHER

The last time I saw Laura and Chris was at their 2017 wedding. They also reside in BC so it would be reasonable to assume that, when the time came, they would find a photographer near them to capture this new milestone. But Laura had other plans ๐Ÿ˜‰ She contacted me early in her pregnancy, hoping to book a maternity session during a trip home to Ottawa. I am always SO honoured when clients trust me to photograph milestones in their lives.

We spent an hour or so playing catch up before the fog and fading daylight finally got the better of us. We ended up with some great images and wonderful memories. I’m SO excited for them to experience all the joys parenthood brings!

MARIE’S MATERNITY SESSION AT OTTAWA’S ORNAMENTAL GARDENS ~ EMBRUN, RUSSELL & OTTAWA MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHER

When Marie contacted me for a maternity session I was a little surprised because didn’t I just do maternity photos for her?! But that was like a year earlier and her baby daughter was now one and there was a new baby on the way. So of course I said I’d love to meet up with her again!

Our session took place at the Ornamental Gardens in Ottawa. It was the perfect spot to capture some images of Marie and her little family as well as some stunning solo images of her and her baby bump ๐Ÿ˜‰

ADAM & ERIN’S PERTH WEDDING ~ EMBRUN, RUSSELL, OTTAWA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I always look forward to the weddings I shoot but this one was especially exciting. Here’s the background: Erin contacted me sometime in early 2018 to check on my availability for Thanksgiving weekend. I had previously photographed her friend’s wedding and also an elopement that another friend was part of. I do believe she said something about “keeping her fingers crossed” until she heard back from me ๐Ÿ˜‰

Fast forward to Summer 2018 when I met with Erin, Adam and their gorgeous pup Lola for an engagement session in downtown Ottawa. They were adorable together, super easy to work with and best of all SO nice!

They decided to have their wedding in Perth, Ontario. It is such a pretty town and the Minister happened to mention to me that it is the wedding capital of Ontario. I’m not sure if this is a real thing or not but it sure was a pretty setting for their day.

To ensure we had enough daylight for photos, Erin and Adam opted for a first-look in Stewart Park.

The wedding party joined us after awhile and even puppy Lola got to have her own first-look before Erin and Adam’s families arrived.

We finished up with wedding party and family images and then quickly snuck in a few more solo images of Erin & Adam before the ceremony began…

Due to the rainy weather the ceremony was moved indoors at the Perth Parkside Inn and Spa. The setting was gorgeous, tall windows, flowers on chairs…but my absolute favourite part of it all was the furry flower pup, walked down the aisle by Erin’s nephew and niece.

OH! And this perfectly posed kiss was also one of my favourites. Much thanks to the Minister, who was open to my suggestion that he move aside and kindly allowed me to capture this ๐Ÿ˜‰

This wedding was such a pleasure to be a part of from start to finish! Wishing you both many years of happiness xox
