Kristen and I sat down for coffee many months ago to talk about her vision for her big day. I love meeting with Brides (and Grooms too!) ahead of time to discuss plans, timelines, vision…and it’s nice to have a face-to-face before meeting on the big day.
Kristen and Tom’s actual wedding day could not have possibly had more weather variations…we encountered overcast skies, light rain, full sun, a downpour and finally a beautiful Fall sunset. I later learned there was also a tornado warning! The wedding was held at Sand Road Maple Farm in Moose Creek and was a pretty setting for the outdoor ceremony. I adore outdoor weddings!
After the ceremony the Bride & Groom headed inside for a quick break and to mingle with guests. After 10-15 minutes and a weather check we rushed back outside to darkening skies and raindrops. The wedding party was great – everyone was a good sport about the weather and luckily umbrellas were on hand. We squeezed in as many images as we could until the bugs began to eat us alive. I have never seen bugs like that in my life!
The reception was indoors…think cozy log cabin. It was beautifully decorated and a great venue for a casual and intimate wedding in the country. Thanks Kristen & Tom for including me in your special day!
