I met with Kyle and Lauren last Spring for engagement photos and to get a feel for each other (I always recommend this!) and knew they would be comfortable with me and in front of the camera for their big day.
All events took place at Orchard View Wedding & Event Centre…the property surrounding the venue is SO pretty! Lauren and her bridesmaids were already at the venue when I arrived…it is always fun to meet up with a new group of ladies! I spent time with them as they got ready before heading outside to meet up with Kyle and his group of guys. They were a breeze to work with and I was able to return to Lauren’s room in time to see her garter being put on…the same garter worn by her Bubbe many years earlier. I love when family heirlooms can be passed on!
The ceremony was lovely and had traces of Jewish tradition throughout, including each male guest wearing a kippa. The ceremony ended with Kyle breaking a glass under the beautiful Chuppah. When Lauren first contacted me she mentioned that it was to be a Jewish meets Irish Catholic wedding and that she expected a constant full dance floor…and that’s exactly what she got! It was a fun day from start to finish and I’m so happy I was chosen to share in their special day!
