PAM & KYLE GET MARRIED AT PINHEY’S POINT ~ EMBRUN, RUSSELL & OTTAWA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I knew Pam and Kyle from our engagement session earlier in the Spring…snow was still on the ground and it was chilly! Fast forward a few months and the weather could not have been more opposite. If you recall, I seem to have a knack for working with couples on the warmest days possible and this was no exception. It really was a scorcher and amplified by the fact that we were outdoors the entire day. I’m still not sure how Pam and Kyle managed to pull it off and look so amazing in wedding gown and suit but they were incredible…after a full day together they looked just as great as they had at the start of the day! The wedding was held at Pinhey’s Point in Dunrobin and it was a perfect location for ceremony, reception and of course wedding photos. I think the entire day turned out beautifully and hope the images reflect that!

LEAH & DAN’S MORNING ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT HOGSBACK FALLS ~ EMBRUN, RUSSELL, OTTAWA ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

I can’t believe it has taken me so long to blog this adorable engagement session. Leah had a new baby at home and all of our plans were made via phone and emails. Even without being able to sit down for a face-to-face meeting I felt at ease with Leah and loved the vision she & Dan had for their wedding day. I quickly said yes to being their photographer!

An engagement session was an absolute must-have on Leah’s list and we scheduled a weekend morning session at the beautiful Hogsback Falls in Ottawa. The weather was great, the location was perfect and their little guy was on his best behaviour. I am so excited to work with them again in a few weeks for their BIG day 🙂

CHRISTINE & OMAR’S INTIMATE AFTERNOON WEDDING ~ EMBRUN, RUSSELL, OTTAWA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Christine contacted me months before her wedding, looking for a photographer who does small weddings (yes please!!!) and to inquire about my availability.

It was my first time visiting the beautiful Ottawa Wedding Chapel in Kenmore, ON and the venue was ideal for the small wedding Christine and Omar had in mind. We used the pretty backdrop of the chapel for some family images before moving to a conservation area for a private session with the newlyweds.

I have a knack for booking weddings on the hottest possible days and their day was no exception.  We were only together for 2 and a half hours but in that short timeframe we were able to capture some gorgeous images despite the heat, the bugs and the midday sun. Enjoy!

CHANTALLE & JORGE’S COURTYARD WEDDING ~ EMBRUN, RUSSELL, OTTAWA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I had spent time with Chantalle and Jorge earlier in the year for an engagement session so I was familiar with them and looking forward to spending the day together.

To start the day I met with Chantalle and her wonderful group of girlfriends at a hotel suite for some “getting ready” shots. Once hair was done, make-up applied and dress was on and laced, I headed over to their apartment to capture a few images with Jorge and his family who had made the trip from Columbia for their wedding day. From there we headed to Strathcona Park (gorgeous location!) for a “first look” and some photos with their beloved pups, Willis and Pippa. Lucky for us we were blessed with an amazing November day…it really was perfect! Our final location was The Courtyard Restaurant for a few more photos before the late afternoon ceremony began.

Chantalle and Jorge, you were a pleasure to work with from start to finish and I feel lucky to have been part of your special day. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness!

MICHELLE & BRONSON’S WEDDING SESSION AT ORCHARD VIEW ~ EMBRUN, RUSSELL, OTTAWA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Michelle first contacted me after getting my name from another bride client but her request was a little unique: something had happened to their wedding photos from this past Summer and could I help them out by trying to recapture some images? I loved the idea because I would be able to work with them alone and uninterrupted. Best of all the images would all be outdoors and at the gorgeous Orchard View Wedding and Conference Centre in Greely. And (if I needed another reason to jump at the opportunity) we would be shooting later in the afternoon as the sun began to set…perfect light! Here is what happens when you get a beautiful couple in the perfect setting…enjoy!
